RAND's Business Development Director Peter Scallion Gives Back a pint in 2014<\/p><\/div>\n

Blood transfusions help save lives--and a constant supply of fresh blood is always needed. Every few seconds, somewhere in the country, someone requires blood--40,000 pints are used each day.<\/p>\n

Please join RAND in partnership with the <\/span>American Red Cross<\/span><\/a> for our 3rd Annual Blood Drive on Tuesday, December 8, 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM on the 12th floor of RAND's offices at 159 West 25th Street in Manhattan. Juice and cookies will be provided to all donors.<\/span><\/p>\n

RAND's annual blood drive is part of our RAND Gives Back program of volunteering and charitable activities. Last year, we collected 25 units of blood (approximately a pint each), 16 of which came from first-time donors with the American Red Cross. The Red Cross estimates that the 25 total whole blood units we collected have the potential to save up to 75 lives. We\u2019re hoping to save even more lives this year!<\/span><\/p>\n

You can schedule your appointment online: Go to <\/span>redcrossblood.org<\/span><\/a> and type \"RAND\" into the Find a Blood Drive box. Click our name and it will bring up a list of times you can sign up for. Walk-ins are also welcome. Feel free to invite your friends, family, and colleagues!<\/span><\/p>\n
