The first phase of the program is <a href=\"http:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/site\/buildings\/industry\/dob-now-safety.page\">DOB NOW: Safety<\/a>, an online portal for facade, boiler, and elevator filings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No More Hard Copies<br \/>\n<\/strong>Beginning today, September 12, all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.randpc.com\/articles\/fisp-fact-sheet\">Facade Inspection Safety Program<\/a> (FISP, formerly known as Local Law 11\/98) reports and extension requests must be submitted online through DOB NOW: Safety. The DOB will no longer accept hard copy filings.<\/p>\n<p>The following documents and information must be created and submitted within the portal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial TR-6, FISP inspection report and supporting documents<\/li>\n<li>Subsequent and Amended reports<\/li>\n<li>Extension requests for repairing unsafe conditions<\/li>\n<li>Shed removal requests<\/li>\n<li>Height verification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other changes for facade compliance filing include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Owners, owner representatives, and Qualified Exterior Wall Inspectors (QEWI) must register with the DOB\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/a810-efiling.nyc.gov\/eRenewal\/loginER.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">eFiling<\/a> to access the system<\/li>\n<li>QEWI\u2019s must be approved by the DOB<\/li>\n<li>Only online payments will be accepted<\/li>\n<li>All certifications require electronic signatures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dashboard<br \/>\n<\/strong>The DOB NOW site will feature a dashboard where registered users can search information on buildings, access the real-time status of filings, report unsafe conditions, submit fees online, and receive email notifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Register Now for DOB NOW<br \/>\n<\/strong>Owners and property representatives should register as soon as possible so they are ready to use the new system.
