RAND celebrates the good news with a Best Place to Work in NYC cake.<\/p><\/div>\n

RAND\u2019s still got it. For the 6th time, RAND Engineering & Architecture, DPC has been recognized as one of Crain\u2019s Best Places to Work in New York City. <\/span>Ranked number 58 this year, RAND was one of only two engineering firms and the only architectural firm to make the list.<\/span><\/p>\n

Crain\u2019s profile highlighted RAND\u2019s educational opportunity initiatives for its employees, which includes <\/span>hosting topical movies and lunch-and-learns; in-house training programs to expand employees' knowledge and skills and earn them continuing education credits; and field trips, including a trip to the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed residence Fallingwater in Pennsylvania. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the reasons RAND is such a great place to work is because they foster an environment where learning and advancement is not only encouraged, but is also fun and motivating,\u201d said Project Engineer Andrew Reynolds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Crain\u2019s New York Business<\/a> launched the survey and awards program in 2008, which identifies, recognizes and honors the best employers in New York City, benefiting the city\u2019s economy, workforce and businesses. This year\u2019s list is comprised of 100 organizations.<\/p>\n

To identify the 2016 Best Places to Work, Crain's partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm that dispatched surveys to more than 28,300 employees in New York City. Scores from employees, who answered a confidential 87-question poll, were combined with scores from an 86-question survey for employers that focused on everything from telecommuting policies to opportunities for advancement. Results from the employee surveys made up 75% of the scores, while responses from the employer questionnaire accounted for 25%.<\/span><\/p>\n
